Sheaffer proved to be one of the better Field Hockey players the Lakers have ever seen over the course of her time. Playing from 2001 to 2004, Mercyhurst tallied a record of 38-30 with Seaeffer as the cornerstone. Over the course of her career, Catrina scored a total of eight points while adding 14 assists to her line for a total of 30 points.
For her efforts, Sheaffer was named the team's Most Valuable Offensive Player in 2022, an NFHCA Second Team All-American in 2002, and an NFHCA First Team All-American in 2004.
She was also selected to play in the NCAA DII North/South Senior All-Star Game in 2004.
