Sister Damien Spirit Award Winners
The annual award has both a primary and honorary recipient. The primary award winner represents a student who embodies the spirit of Sister Damien, while the honorary award represents an employee, community member or supporter of Mercyhurst University.
For nearly 20 years, Sister Damien cheered on Mercyhurst student-athletes. A fixture at Laker games with her cowbell in one hand and holy water in the other, she became a Mercyhurst legend. Her love of the college and pride in the accomplishments of its students became the spirit of Mercyhurst.
