Box Score 2 Lewisburg, Pa – Mercyhurst Women's Bowling falls to La Salle and St.Francis-Brooklyn on the second day of the Bucknell Invitational.

First Game
The Lakers returned to the pool for another busy day in Lewisburg, Pa. They started the early matchup with La Salle well, as
Sara Marin beat her defender and netted the first goal of the game, 1-0.

Despite that, the Explorers took charge in the game, as they went on the scoring run, and finished the first half with five-goal lead, 6-1.

Mercyhurst tried to answer in the second, as Marin scored another on, and
Ava Gebhardt and
Sakura Gavin also added one goal each. La Salle held on to their lead, and eventually won the game by a score of 15-4.

Second Game
In the second game of the day, the Lakers took on an experienced St. Francis-Brooklyn team. Mercyhurst didn't start well this time, as their opponents went on a five-goal scoring run to begin the match, only stopped by a goal from
Allie Dombkowski, 5-1. Despite a couple of nice plays, the Lakers lost the first half by a score of 8-2.

The Terriers continued in the second, as they kept applying pressure and playing solid defense.
Rachel Vlieststra and Gebhardt added one more goal each, and the game ended with a score of 16-4 on the board.
Panna Mozbauer recorded five saves and two steals in the goal for the Lakers.

What's Next
The Lakers host Curtis Robinette Memorial starting on Saturday, February 18
th at the Hallman Aquatic Center. They are scheduled to play Iona, Penn-State Behrend and La Salle on the first day of competition and follow that with matches against Wittenberg and St. Francis-Brooklyn on the second day.
