KANSAS CITY, Mo.—United Soccer Coaches announced the Team Academic Award winners for the 2021-22 academic year. To qualify the team must have had a 3.0 or higher GPA. A total of 746 teams in both men's and women's soccer earned the honor. Just 130 teams across all three divisions had both the men's and women's team earn the honor. Mercyhurst is one of those 130.

Women's Soccer made the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2012 while also capturing a PSAC West Regular Season Championship, in the classroom they had a 3.64 GPA which was among the highest in women's soccer. The GPA was third highest in the PSAC this past season while 39 student-athletes were named PSAC Scholar Athletes

"I am so proud of our team, it was an incredible season on the field but an even better one in the classroom" Head Coach Jon Arlet said. "We have high standards in both the classroom and the field and it is amazing to see we excelled in both".
