Women's Soccer Gears Up to Close Out Regular Season

The Lakers will close out their 2025 regular season campaign this weekend. They will first travel to the Windy City on Thursday to take on Chicago State. They will come back home Sunday to close out their second season as a Division I program welcoming the newest member of the NEC, New Haven.
 
Previously from the Lakers
The Lakers hosted Delaware State last week and celebrated Senior Day. The Green and Blue fell 2-1.
 
The Watchlist
Madison Sievering scored the lone goal for the Lakers last week. She was assisted by Fiona Fraser.

Fraser has tallies three assists in the last three games for the Green and Blue.

Sievering has tallied two goals in the last two games.

Freshman Annis-Clara Wright played her first career home game last week, making five saves.
 
A Closer Look: Chicago State
  • The Cougars are 5-7-5 overall and 3-4-2 in the NEC. They currently sit at eighth in the NEC.
  • Chicago State found their three conference wins against Howard, New Haven, and Saint Francis.
  • Gabby Flores and Maya Dixon are tied in goals, each tallying four thus far.
  • Renee Davis leads in assists with three.
  • Goalkeeper Aviana Gutierrez has earned multiple NEC Rookie of the Week, Defensive Player of the Week, and Prime Performer honors.
  • Gutierrez has played in every game this season for the Cougars. She has a 0.77 save percentage and 1.63 GAA.
The Lakers and Cougars met last season for the first time in program history. They tied 3-3.
 
A Closer Look: New Haven
  • The Chargers are 0-13-1 overall and 0-8-1 in the NEC.
  • The 2025-26 season marks the Chargers first inaugural season in Division I.
  • Emma Mitchell leads the team in goals with four.
  • Janayah Body leads the Chargers in assists with two.
  • Goalkeeper Caitlin Daley has played in 14 games. Daley has a 0.768 save percentage and 2.83 GAA.
This will be the first time the Chargers and the Lakers meet.
