Indianapolis, IN.—The NCAA released their first regional rankings for Women's Soccer Wednesday afternoon. Mercyhurst found their name fifth in the Atlantic Region.

The Lakers are one of six PSAC teams and are the highest ranked PSAC West team as Gannon is in sixth, Slippery Rock eighth and IUP is ninth.

Mercyhurst has won their last three games while outscoring their opponents 7-1. The Lakers are 10-4-1 overall and 9-3-1 in PSAC West play this season. Currently the Lakers sit in third place of the PSAC West standings and are just four points from first and three from second place.

The Lakers have three PSAC West games remaining, Mercyhurst heads to Clarion on Saturday and IUP Wednesday before closing out the regular season at home against Cal (Pa.)
