Women's Soccer Set for Three Games This Week, Home on Saturday

The Mercyhurst women's soccer team will play three Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference games this week, including a home game on Saturday.
 
The Lakers will travel to Edinboro for a makeup game on Sept. 23 at 6:00 p.m. They will then go to Pitt Johnstown on Sept. 25 at 4:00 p.m. before welcoming Seton Hill to Saxon Stadium on Sept. 28 at 7:00 p.m.
 
All Time Series
Mercyhurst holds a 10-7-4 series advantage over Edinboro. Last season Mercyhurst won 2-1 at home with goals from Lauren Caseyand Maya Bauer. Edinboro is 7-0-2 in the last nine meetings.
 
Mercyhurst is 8-0-0 against Pitt Johnstown. Mercyhurst defeated Pitt Johnstown 1-0 last year on the road with the lone goal from Maya Fanazini. Vilde Wold made eight saves in the shutout.
 
Mercyhurst holds a 7-3-0 edge over Seton Hill. Last year, the Lakers lost 1-0 at Seton Hill.
 
Scouting Edinboro
The Fighting Scots have a 3-2, 3-0 record. They are riding a three-game win streak and are coming off of a 2-1 win over Clarion.
 
Brittnie Spithaler has two goals and six points and Jessica Frank has three goals and six points to led the Fighting Scots roster. In net, Anna Voelker has played all five games for the Fighting Scots. 
 
Scouting Pitt Johnstown
The Mountain Cats have a 1-4, 1-3 record. They are coming off of a 2-1 lost to Seton Hill.
 
Abby LaDuke is on top of the roster with seven points. Emily Esser is next with four points. In net, Maria Mosquera has played five games with a 1-4 record, while Sachi Negri has played in one game making one save.
 
Scouting Seton Hill
The Griffins are 2-3 overall and 2-1 in the conference. They are set to play Clarion on Sept. 25 before meeting with the Lakers on Saturday.
 
Leading the Griffins are Italia Biondi and Katie Minnich with nine points each. In net, Elyza, Herzing-Pilatowski has played every game for Seton Hill.
 
Laker Lineup
Mercyhurst has a 2-1-1 overall and 1-1-0 conference record. The Lakers are coming off of their first loss of the season, 2-1 in overtime to Slippery Rock. Alyssa Otto scored the lone Laker goal while Beata Sundling had an assist.
 
Otto is on top of the roster with five goals and 11 points. Next in line are Taryn Baxter, Laia Santos and Cristy Senskey with four points each. In net, Wold has played all four games with a 0.905 save percentage.
