Results Through Two Rounds
DANIELS, W. Va. --
Chris Kupniewski sits atop the individual leaderboard and the Mercyhurst men's golfers are sixth in the team field through the second of three rounds at the NCAA Atlantic/East Regional. The three-day tournament continued Tuesday on the par-72 Cobb Course on The Resort at Glade Springs.
Kupniewski has a two-day total of 142 after finishing with a one-over-par 73 on day two. He had a three-under 69 on the opening day. He leads two golfers in second place with 146s: Hunter Wescott (Dominican) and John Clare (Le Moyne).
Harison Laskey also had a one-over 73 on Tuesday, giving him a two-day 151. He is tied for 23rd.
Les Lancaster is currently tied for 59th with a 156 (73-83),
Adrian Larsen is tied for 71st with a 159 (78-81) and
Ryan Mehnert is tied for 98th in the 107-golfer field with a 166 (82-84).
In team scoring, Mercyhurst struggled with the 17th-ranked round of Tuesday -- one day after posting the field's best team round. The Lakers have a team score of 608 (298-310) and follow the Top 5, in order, of Saint Thomas Aquinas (597), Dominican (598), Le Moyne (602), Wilmington, Del. (604) and Indiana, Pa. (606).
In team scoring, the Lakers are followed, in the Top 5, by Dominican (300), Saint Thomas Aquinas (301), California, Pa. (302) and two teams tied for fifth, Le Moyne (304) and Wilmington, Del. (304).
Wednesday tee times for the Lakers are as follows: Mehnert (12 p.m.), Larsen (12:10), Lancaster (12:20), Laskey (12:30), Kupniewski (12:40).
