NASHPORT, Ohio – The Mercyhurst men's golf team wrapped up competition at the Virtues Intercollegiate Tuesday afternoon. Three Lakers posted rounds under par in the two day event at the Virtues Golf Club.

The Lakers had their best performance in the final round on Tuesday, posting a team score of 297. Mercyhurst posted scores of 312 and 303 in the first two rounds Monday.

Freshman
Barrett Paolini was the low finisher for the Lakers, posting scores of 70-82-76. Paolini fired a 2-under 70 in the opening round, with a bogey-free 33 on the back nine.

Darien Swanson bounced back from his opening rounds of 82 and 77 on the final day, posting a 2-under 70. The senior carded four birdies in the round and a bogey free front nine.

In his opening 18, Swanson carded two birdies on the 338 yard par 4 sixth hole and the par five 527 yard 16
th hole.

Peter Malo Jr. was the third Laker to post a round under par. The junior in Monday's second round, firing a 1-under 71. Malo Jr. carded three birdies on the round, including two during his bogey free back nine.

His second round 71 was sandwiched between scores of 83 in round one and 77 in round three.

Evan Rowane (82-76-74) and
Dan Gambone (78-79-77) rounded out the Laker lineup.
