Round One Results

DANIELS, W. Va. -- Chris Kupniewski is tied atop the individual leaderboard and the Mercyhurst men's golf team leads the team field through the first of three rounds at the NCAA Atlantic/East Regional. The three-day tournament began Monday on the par-72 Cobb Course on The Resort at Glade Springs.

Kupniewski is tied with Dominican's Hunter Wescott. Both shot three-under-par 69s and are the top golfers in their respective regions (Kupniewski, Atlantic; Westcott, East).

Les Lancaster added a one-over 73 for the Lakers, who compiled a team score of 298. He is tied for sixth.

Harison Laskey and Adrian Larsen are tied for 42nd, rounding out the MU four-man slate with 78s.

Ryan Mehnert is tied for 88th in the 107-player field with an 82.

In team scoring, the Lakers are followed, in the Top 5, by Dominican (300), Saint Thomas Aquinas (301), California, Pa. (302) and two teams tied for fifth, Le Moyne (304) and Wilmington, Del. (304).

Tuesday tee times for the Lakers are as follows: Lancaster (7:30 a.m.), Mehnert (7:40), Larsen (7:50), Laskey (8:00) and Kupniewski (8:10).
