The Mercyhurst Men's Soccer team is set to open conference play against Long Island University on Thursday, October 1, at 1 p.m. The match will take place at Saxon Stadium in Erie, Pa., as the Lakers begin their NEC schedule against the Sharks. The two teams have drawn in their previous two meetings.
Mercyhurst Lakers
Mercyhurst enters the match with a record of 3-2-3. The team has shown strong performances this season, with key contributions from standout players. LIU has played all seven of its matches on the road to begin the season, including contests against High Point, Providence, Sacred Heart, Saint Joseph's, Siena, Delaware and New Haven. Thursday's matchup with Mercyhurst marks the Sharks' second NEC contest of the season.
