The Mercyhurst Men's Soccer team hits the road for its second NEC match of the season, traveling to Washington, D.C., to face Howard on Sunday, October 4, at 1 p.m. The match will be played at Greene Stadium and streamed live on NEC Front Row.

Mercyhurst Lakers
Mercyhurst enters the match at 3-3-3 overall and 0-1 in NEC play after dropping its conference opener 0-2 to LIU at Saxon Stadium on Oct. 1, snapping the team's unbeaten run. The Lakers have been a tightly contested club all season, with three of their nine matches ending in draws, including scoreless ties against Niagara and Bowling Green. Mercyhurst will look to bounce back and pick up its first NEC win of the year on the road against Howard.

Howard Bison
Howard comes into Sunday's matchup at 3-7 overall and 1-1 in NEC play, winners of one straight after a 2-1 victory at Chicago State on Oct. 1 that opened conference play on a high note. The Bison dropped their NEC opener 0-2 to Central Connecticut State on Sept. 27 before bouncing back against Chicago State. Howard has split its home and road fortunes, going 2-1 at Greene Stadium and 1-6 away from Washington, D.C. Non-conference results have been a mixed bag for the Bison, who opened the season with losses to Delaware (0-1), Virginia Tech (0-7) and Rider (0-2), before picking up a 1-0 win over Radford on a penalty kick. Howard also dropped a 0-2 decision at UMBC, beat VMI 2-1, and fell 1-3 at Duke in its most recent non-conference test.
