Erie, Pa. - This weekend, the Mercyhurst Water Polo team will travel to Lewisburg, Pa. to compete in the Bison Invitational. They will face the Salem University Tigers on September 17th at 10:00 a.m. with John Hopkins University later in the day at 4:40 p.m. On 18th, the Lakers will first play McKendree University at noon and will finish the day out with Mount St. Mary's at 4:00 p.m.

Looking Back

Last weekend Mercyhurst traveled to Washington, Pa. to play against Augustana College and the University of Toronto; the Vikings were first up. The Lakers found themselves short-handed with a few injuries to players. Mercyhurst fought hard to stick with Augustana but to no avail as they fell 22-7. Danilo Vujovic provided a spark on offense with him registering four goals.

Vujovic was once again the go-to guy on offense for the Lakers in their second competition of the weekend with him scoring three times against Toronto. Despite his best efforts, the team was unable to get the win over the Blues as Mercyhurst dropped their second contest of the week by a final of 18-7.

What's Next

Next weekend the team will compete in the Conference Crossover where they will face four different universities in Erie's Hallman Aquatic Center. On Saturday, September 24th, they will face Mount St. Mary's and George Washington University with Bucknell University and John Hopkins University to follow Sunday.
