Box Score 1 Washington, PA – Mercyhurst Men's Water Polo recorded two losses on Saturday, September 10^th. A shorthanded Lakers' team lost to Augustana College and University of Toronto.
 
How It Happened
This weekend the Lakers traveled to Washington, PA to continue their season. In the first game the Lakers took on Augustana College. The Lakers led by Danilo Vujovic lost the game by a score of 7-22. Vujovic scored four goals.
 
In the second game of the day, Mercyhurst played an experienced University of Toronto team. After a hard-fought battle, the Lakers lost by a score of 18-7. Vujovic scored three goals, and Teagan Thomas recorded two.
 
Heard From The Coach
Coach Momcilovic had some insight to share after the second game: "It was a tough weekend. We were 3 starters short due to health reasons. We also suffered 2 injuries after the first game. But the team came together and gave it everything they had with limited numbers. It was good experience as we continue to grow as a team and showed we have more to offer at full strength."
 
What's Next
The Lakers are scheduled to participate in Bison Invitational Tournament next weekend. They are set to play Salem and John Hopkins on Saturday, September 17. They will also take on McKendree and Mount St. Mary's University on Sunday, September 18.
