ERIE, Pa. – The Mercyhurst University Women's Tennis team claimed victory over the visiting Clarion Golden Eagles on Wednesday afternoon in Erie. The Lakers registered wins in both doubles matches and the five singles matches.

Naomi Jahr and Nadja Ostojic swept their opponent 6-0 in the No.1 doubles match. In the No.2 match, Valentine Budin and Sara Bertolez Puente recorded a 6-2 win. 

In singles, Kayla Dean took the first two sets from her No.1 singles opponent to win 6-3,6-0. Jahr did not give up a point in her No.2 singles match, winning 6-0,6-0. Roisin Murphy made quick work of her opponent in the No.3 singles match, winning by a 6-1,6-0 score. Budin  would win by the same score in her match, and Bertolez Puente rounded out the action with a 6-0,6-0 victory.
