Men’s Water Polo to Host Three Games as Part of Homecoming Weekend

ERIE, PA --- The Men's Water Polo team dives right back into action this week at the Hallman Aquatic Center. The Lakers will welcome three teams to Erie this weekend as part of the Homecoming festivities here at Mercyhurst.

Mercyhurst will play two matches on Saturday, the first against Mckendree University at 3:00 p.m, and the second against Salem University scheduled for 6:00 p.m.

On Sunday, the Lakers will square off with Washington and Jefferson College at 10:30 a.m.

This weekend also marks the beginning of conference play for Mercyhurst. Their next six contests are scheduled against MAWPC West opponents. 

From Last Weekend

Last weekend, Mercyhurst dropped four matches at the Bison Invitational hosted by Bucknell University. Mercyhurst fell by scores of 13-5, 13-6, 17-5, and 21-7. 


Scouting McKendree 

McKendree University comes into their match with the Lakers having not played in 20 days. The Bearcats have only played four matches so far this year, they are 1-3 in those matches.

Scouting Salem

Salem brings a 1-7 record with them to Erie this weekend. The Tigers lone win came against Mount St. Mary's 14-13 in their third match of the year. 

Scouting Washington and Jefferson 

W&J is currently 4-2 in regular season games played this year. The Presidents have notable wins over Augustana and Penn State Behrend.
