LEWISBURG, Pa. -- The Mercyhurst Men's Water Polo team is back in action this weekend at the Bison Invitational hosted by Bucknell University. Mercyhurst is slated to play four games over the weekend.

The Lakers will face off against Fordham University on Saturday at 2:30 p.m. followed by a familiar foe in Mount St. Mary's at 7:00 p.m.Â

On Sunday the Lakers clash with Wagner College at 1:30 p.m. and St. Francis Brooklyn at 6:00 p.m.

From Last Weekend

Last weekend the Lakers competed in a back and forth contest against Mount St. Mary's eventually falling 17-12. Offensively for Mercyhurst,
Michael Gutman,
Mathieu Davis,
Derek Kagen, and
Brennan Cumby each scored two goals.Â

Gutman added two assists to give him a game high four points for Mercyhurst.

Nash Greeven played the full 32 minutes in goal recording eight saves. Greeven posted a .333 save percentage and was credited with a single steal.

Scouting Fordham

Fordham enters Saturday afternoons matchup with a 4-3 record. The Rams just recently defeated Mercyhurst 25-5 two weeks ago at the Brown Invitational.Â

Scouting Mount St. Mary's

In their second game of the day on Saturday the Lakers will attempt to get revenge on "The Mount" after last weekend's 17-12 defeat. Mount St. Mary's enters the contest with a 2-5 record.

Scouting Wagner

Wagner brings a 3-5 record with them to Lewisburg. The Seahawks best win of the early season came last Friday against #14 ranked California Baptist 14-12.

St. Francis Brooklyn arrives at Bucknell University boasting a 4-2 record. Most recently they fell 10-14 in a match up against Fordham.
