CLARION, Pa. -- After clinching their spot in the PSAC postseason, the Mercyhurst women's tennis team will close out the regular season on Tuesday with a trip to Clarion for a 4 p.m. match. 

The Lakers are fresh off a 5-2 victory over Edinboro on Friday to move to 6-6 overall and 3-2 in PSAC West play. Clarion is currently 0-5 overall and 0-5 in conference play. 

 Alana Lewis has won nine straight singles matches including the clincher against the Fighting Scots on Friday.  

Valentine Budin is now 10-2 on the year and on an eight match singles winning streak. Budin and Janice Theodora have posted a 10-1 record and have reeled off nine straight victories. 

Theodora has won six straight singles matches. Athina Tsagkaraki has won three straight matches.
