Pembroke, NC—The Mercyhurst Baseball team is back in the NCBWA poll after going 2-1 this past weekend and having a 5-2 record to open the 2021 season. The Lakers received seven votes this week and they are just one of three PSAC schools to be named in the poll.
Mercyhurst defeated Notre Dame College on Friday by a score of 5-2, on Saturday they beat Lake Erie College by a score of 8-7 before playing Division I Akron and falling 12-1. The Lakers will be back in action for five games this weekend, on Friday and Saturday Mercyhurst will play Salem for the for the third, fourth, and fifth time this season after beating them 4-3 and 18-4 on March 7th. Mercyhurst will then host D'Youville in their first ever matchup on Sunday.
