Baseball Sits in Fourth in Latest Poll

Erie, PA—The Mercyhurst Baseball team is once seeing themselves in another poll. The Lakers were ranked fourth in the latest NCBWA Atlantic Region Poll. The Lakers were one of nine PSAC teams to be ranked in the top 10.

The Lakers are set to start their season on Saturday as they will travel to Salem, West Virginia to take on Wheeling on Friday in a doubleheader followed by a doubleheader against Salem on Sunday. The Lakers are due to play their first home game since May 25th, 2019 when they hosted Charleston in the Atlantic Super Regional, The Lakers won by a score of 14-4 and earned the right to go to the Division II College World Series.

Spectator Policy for 2021 Spring Season

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and the associate public health guidelines, no spectators are allowed to begin the spring season. Mercyhurst will continue to remain in communication with local, state, and federal agencies over the course of the season to explore possible fan attendance at some point.
