The Mercyhurst men's soccer team is ranked 20th on the United Soccer Coaches Poll, as announced by the Association on Tuesday.
 
"We are very glad to be recognized by other coaches as a strong team and we are also aware it is really early in the season to make any conclusions. We will keep improving to ultimately achieve the goals we set for ourselves on day one," said head coach Nenad Vidakovic.
 
Mercyhurst has earned a 2-0-1 record so far this season, all to non-conference opponents.
 
The Lakers are coming off of a 4-3 overtime win to the University of the District of Columbia on Saturday. After being down 3-1, the Lakers three unanswered goals to pick up their second win of the season.
 
Connor Wilkinson scored two goals, including the overtime game winner, 58 second into overtime, and added an assist. He was named the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference West Athlete of the Week. Ian Harris and Hady Sarr also scored one goal each for the Lakers.
 
Wilkinson leads the roster with four goals and nine points. Harris is next with four points and Mario Castel has three points.
 
In net, Martin Jarc has played in every game while earning a .571 save percentage.
