Mercyhurst enters this matchup with a 1-2-0 record. After starting the season with two losses against Penn State and Drexel, the Lakers found success in their recent game against Cleveland State, securing a 2-1 victory. Key performances included Benjamin Buckley's first goal of the season, assisted by Ronny Wakelin, and a game-winning goal by Alvar Silva, assisted by Harrison Dudley and Max Beech. Goalkeeper Jaime Tedaldi made five crucial saves in the match. 
Max Beech has been recognized as the NEC Rookie of the Week for his assist on the game-winning shot against Cleveland State and his active presence on the field, playing 52 minutes with one shot on goal. Alvar Silva earned the title of NEC Prime Performer for his decisive goal that clinched the win.

In the game against Dayton, Sophomore Thero Mitchell III scored his first goal for the Titans, assisted by Samuel Speen. Johnny Strickler currently leads the team with two goals and four shots on goal.
