POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. – The Mercyhurst women's water polo team fell 14-3 to Brown and 11-3 to Siena on Sunday during the Red Fox Invitational.
 
The Lakers are back in action on March 2-3 when they travel to Bloomington, In. for the Indiana Classic.
 
Brown 14, Mercyhurst 3
Maddie Nye scored two goals and one assist while Sarah Hershey recorded the other Laker goal. Hershey also had an assist. Rachel Byrnes tallied one assist for Mercyhurst.
 
Sarah O'Keefe made two saves in net for the Lakers.
 
Dagmara Czajka, Katie Klein, Lily Keck and McKenna Miller led the way for Brown with three points each. Alli Schaum, Carissa Perezand Lili Akin had two points each while single points were tallied by Kaitlyn Cook, Riley Hughes, Carmen Rosas, Maigrie McDougal and Lexi Atwell for Brown (9-2).
 
Lauren Burns made seven saves in net for Brown.
 
Siena 11, Mercyhurst 3
Byrnes, Jennifer Moshinsky and Michaela Hershey scored the three Laker goals while Sara Marin and Mackenzie Ryburn had one assist each. Byrnes led the team with four steals and Michaela Hershey had three steals for Mercyhurst (1-7).
 
O'Keefe made five saves in net and had four steals.
 
Sophia Torres and Bianca Prinsloo recorded four points, Daniella Fuertes had three points, Kristen Burger and Georgie Vargas tallied two points and single points were earned by Diana Fernandez, Sarah Lopez and Terez Touhey for Siena (3-6).
 
Kennedy Joseph made four saves in net and had one steal.
