ERIE, Pa. – The Mercyhurst women's water polo team is set to start the 2019 season welcoming seven teams for the Laker Invitational at the Prep-Villa Events Center on Feb. 15-17.
 
The invitational brings in teams from the Collegiate Water Polo Association, the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference and the Western Water Polo Association. The eight teams competing include (WWPA) Mercyhurst Gannon, Salem International, McKendree, (MAAC) Iona, Virginia Military, (CWPA) Bucknell and St. Francis. Mercyhurst will play in four games, starting with Bucknell at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday morning.
