The Mercyhurst men's soccer team is set to host Slippery Rock for the quarterfinals of the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Tournament on Nov. 12 at 1:00 p.m. on Saxon Stadium.
All-Time Series
Mercyhurst leads the all-time series 24-16-2. The Lakers defeated the Rock 1-0 earlier this month. The Rock won 1-0 earlier in the season.
Scouting Slippery Rock
Slippery Rock ended the regular season with a 8-8-2, 5-5-0 record. The Rock finished in third place in the PSAC West and is coming off of a 4-0 lose to Gannon.
Abdallah Bangura is leading the roster with seven goals and 16 points. Alejandro Fernandez is next with 12 points and Ramses Minaya has eight points.
In net, Matt Hunsberger has played in 17 games with a 8-7-2 record and 0.806 save percentage. Derek Horrman has played in five games with a 0.842 save percentage and 0-1-0 record.
A Look at the Lakers
Mercyhurst finished the regular season with a 9-5-2, 6-3-1 record. The Lakers ended in second place in the PSAC West. They are coming off of a 4-0 win over Cal. Pa.
Connor Wilkinson is on top of the Laker roster with nine goals, five assists and 23 points.
Henri Tophoven and
Mario Castel are next with 14 points and
Hady Sarr has seven points.
Martin Jarc has played in 13 games with a 0.661 save percentage and 6-5-2 record.
Alfredo Gallo has played in four games with a 0.875 save percentage and 2-0-1 record.
