ERIE, Pa. – The Mercyhurst men's water polo team came in fourth place at the Collegiate Water Polo Association Western Championships.
 
The Lakers fell 16-9 to Salem to earned the fourth-place finish.
 
Daniel Alvarez recorded five points while Michael Gutman, Ryan Witoslawski and Teagan Thomas had two points each. Matthew Virzi, Dylan Shaffer, Derek Kagen and Paul Goddard had one point each.
 
In net, Nash Greeven made seven saves and had one steal.
 
Milos Popovic had seven points, Robert Juhas scored six points, Petar Leontijevic tallied four points, Michael Rojas and Salvador Orozco recorded three points each, Manuel Soto Estela had two points and single points were picked up by Alvaro Leon Parra and Julen Alonso.
 
In net, Alonso made 15 saves and had four steals.
