The Mercyhurst men's soccer team is set to participate in the 2017 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) men's soccer tournament beginning this week.
The Lakers enter as the fifth-seed in the tournament and head to fourth-seed East Stroudsburg for their quarterfinal matchup on Tuesday, Oct. 31. Kickoff is scheduled for 3:30 p.m.

Mercyhurst won the 2016 PSAC tournament as the number-one seed, defeating Seton Hill in the semifinals and Millersville in the conference championship game.
The Lakers feature the conference's highest scoring team this season, averaging 2.9 goals per game. Mercyhurst midfielder
Christopher Makengo led the PSAC in total points (30) and tied for the league lead in goals with 12.
Fjodor van Kippersluis was close behind with 11 goals and 28 points.
Mercyhurst gets a chance at redemption against East Stroudsburg who defeated the Lakers 3-1 in the final game of the regular season to leap forward in the standings. The Warriors feature the second-highest scoring team in the conference at 2.5 goals per game.
West Chester earned the number-one seed after going a perfect 11-0 in conference play and 13-2-1 overall. West Chester will host the semifinal round on Nov. 3 and the championship game on Nov. 5. As the top-seed, West Chester gets a bye to the semifinals along with second-seed Gannon.
Third-seed Millersville hosts sixth-seed Seton Hill in the other quarterfinal matchup.
