LEWISBURG, PA – Mercyhurst concluded the weekend with a victory over Gannon University, making them 3-0 against the Golden Knights on the year. The Lakers jumped out to an early three-goal lead, ending the first quarter with 4 - 1. Gannon came out firing in the second, outscoring Mercyhurst 4 – 2, and cutting the Lakers lead to one entering halftime. The two rivals battled evenly through the third, scoring two goals a piece. The Lakers got the better of Gannon in the fourth, concluding the game with a 3 – 2 fourth quarter, and leading to an 11 – 9 final.

Jordan Hodur added two goals of his own to the final tally. While the freshman trio of
Alec Diaz, Phillip Jenny, and
Otis Tyson all added a goal of their own. Andrew Too – A – Foo was solid in net, recording eight saves and one steal in the contest.
The Lakers are hopeful to receive an at large bid for the CWPA Championship in Cambridge, MA. The tournament begins November 20 and concludes November 22.
