LEWISBURG, Pa.- The Mercyhurst men's water polo dropped two games at the Bucknell Invitational Sunday. The Lakers fell 12-5 to Bucknell and 15-6 to George Washington.

Against the hosts, Mercyhurst trailed, 3-0, after a period and went into the break down, 7-1. Despite four goals in the second half, the Lakers fell to the Bison.

Jack Howe and
Samuel Lopez each scored two goals.
Kevin Doyle played the first half in net, making six saves.
Gene Bilbao took over in the final 16 minutes, posting five stops.

In the match with GW, the Lakers fell behind, 3-1, at the end of the first frame. The Colonials would not relinquish their lead the rest of the way.

Howe led with a pair of goals, while
Joe Yamamoto dished out three assists.
Dave Matulis,
Alex Strong, and
Jordan Hodur tallied a goal apiece.

Bilbao totaled seven saves in goal and Doyle compiled six saves in the second half.

Mercyhurst plays at Penn State Behrend on Saturday, September 20, at noon. It then plays Monmouth the next day at Washington and Jefferson.
