SEASIDE, Calif.- The Mercyhurst women's water polo team lost, 12-6, at Cal State Monterey Bay Tuesday. Cailin Jope and Annie Blackman each scored two goals in the contest.

The Lakers fell behind, 5-1, after a period, and trailed, 7-3, at the half. The Otters scored four goals in the fourth frame to take the match.

Jope and Blackman finished with a pair of goals apiece. Meagan Marques and Becky Insalaco scored a goal each. Jesse Sworden and Rachel Stock each posted two saves in net.

Mercyhurst is 6-4 this year. It plays at the Michigan Invitational March 15-16. The Lakers face Fresno Pacific and Notre Dame College on Saturday and take on Pacific Sunday.
