Women's Water Polo Beaten Twice Saturday Afternoon

PRINCETON, N.J.- The Mercyhurst women's water polo team lost twice Saturday afternoon. The Lakers fell, 13-1, at #12 Princeton, and then dropped a 14-6 decision to Bucknell. Both games were played at DeNunzio Pool at Princeton University.
 
Against Princeton, the Lakers went down 4-0 after one quarter and 10-0 at the half. Ali Iaquinto scored in the fourth quarter to get Mercyhurst on the board. Cailin Jope assisted on the score. Hannah Metzger made five saves in net.
 
In the loss to Bucknell, Mercyhurst trailed 3-1 after a period and 8-2 at the break. Lisett Calderon had a goal and four assists. Stephanie Fernandez scored twice, while Meagan Marques had a goal and an assist. Metzger posted three saves.
 
Mercyhurst is now 12-10 this season. It will close the regular season at Notre Dame College on Wednesday, April 10. The match is scheduled for a 7 p.m. start.
