ERIE, Pa.- The Mercyhurst women's water polo team will travel to Princeton for two games on Saturday, April 6. The Lakers face #12 Princeton at 1:30 p.m. and then take on Bucknell at 5:30 p.m. Both contests will be held at DeNunzio Pool.
The Lakers are 12-8 this year, coming off a 15-10 win at Penn State Behrend March 27. Senior
Lisett Calderon leads the team with 44 goals and 18 assists, while
Cailin Jope has 34 goals and 19 helpers. Freshmen
Stephanie Fernandez,
Annie Blackman, and
Meagan Marques have combined for 48 goals and 37 assists this season.
Princeton has a 17-5 record. The Tigers played four games in Los Angeles March 22-23, winning three. Katie Rigler leads the team with 39 goals and Kelly Gross has dished out a team-high 22 assists. Ashleigh Johnson has started all 22 games in goal, making 233 saves and allowing 119 goals.
Bucknell sports a 4-14 mark, including four losses in San Diego March 16-17.
