PROVIDENCE, R.I.- The Mercyhurst women's water polo team fell, 13-6, to George Washington in the ninth-place match at the Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Eastern Championships. The Lakers finished the 2012 season with a 12-19 record.

GW went ahead 5-3 after one quarter and 7-4 at the half. The teams traded goals in the third period, but George Washington iced the win with five scores in the fourth frame.

Lisett Calderon led Mercyhurst with four goals, while Laura Perez and Kimberly Goodhart each had a score. Hope Rozelle recorded five saves in net. Perez, Goodhart, and Rozelle all wrapped up their Laker careers in the contest.

Mercyhurst went 12-19 this year. It placed 10th at the Eastern Championships.
