ERIE, Pa.- The Mercyhurst women's lacrosse team plays two road Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) contests this weekend. The Lakers play at Shippensburg Friday, April 20, at 3 p.m. and at Millersville Saturday, April 21, at 1 p.m.

Mercyhurst sports an 8-5 record. It had a three-game winning streak snapped by Lock Haven on April 14. Freshman Rebecca Himes and senior
Ally Keirn are tied for the team lead with 41 points. Himes had 31 goals and Keirn has 30.
Anna LeGrett is next with 26 goals to go along with 13 assists.
Shippensburg is 7-6 in 2012, coming off a 17-7 loss at Lock Haven on April 17. Lindsey Kennedy paces the team with 46 points and 26 goals. Lauren Hauck has posted 23 goals and 21 assists.
Millersville has a 5-8 mark this year, including a 25-8 loss to Bloomsburg on April 14. The Marauders have lost six of their last seven outings. Caitlin Shannon leads the team with 35, while Ashley Henderson has 33 goals.
Mercyhurst swept Ship and Millersville in 2011. Keirn scored with 11 seconds left to take a 10-9 decision from the Marauders and then
Kayla Minner scored six goals in a 19-14 victory over the Raiders.
The Lakers are tied for third in the PSAC entering the weekend. West Chester and Lock Haven leads the league with 7-1 marks, with Gannon and Mercyhurst even at 6-2. Indiana (Pa.) is next with a 5-3 conference record. The top six teams at the end of the regular season advance to the PSAC Tournament. The top two teams receive byes, with the three and four seeds earning first-round home matches.
