Bridgewater, NJ- The Northeast Conference has announced its 2025 major award winners and All-Conference teams for women's lacrosse, with three standout Lakers earning accolades for their impressive performances this season. Whitley Easton was named the NEC Offensive Player of the Year and selected to the First Team All-Conference, Reese Widrick earned Second Team All-Conference honors, and Maggie Allen was named to the NEC All-Rookie Team.
At attack, junior Whitley Easton was named the NEC Offensive Player of the Year and earned a spot on the First Team All-Conference after a dominant campaign that saw her reach career highs across the board. Easton finished the season with 53 goals and 36 assists, totaling an impressive 89 points—the highest mark in the conference. She led the NEC in points per game (5.93), assists per game (2.40), and shots per game (7.93), while ranking second in goals per game (3.53). Her standout performances included a career-high 11-point outing against Howard, with four goals and seven assists, and a six-goal performance against Delaware State.
Reese Widrick, a sophomore defender, was recognized for her defensive prowess by being named to the Second Team All-Conference. She led the Lakers with 20 caused turnovers and ranked sixth in the NEC in caused turnovers per game, averaging 1.40. Widrick's season included a standout game against Le Moyne, where she forced three turnovers.
Freshman goalkeeper Maggie Allen made an immediate impact in her debut season, earning a spot on the All-Rookie Team. Allen recorded 93 saves and posted a .445 save percentage, placing her fourth in the NEC in save percentage. She also ranked eighth in goals against average (13.38) and ninth in saves per game (6.64). Her top performance came against Wagner, where she registered a season-high 18 saves.
Together, Easton, Widrick, and Allen helped shape a successful season for the Lakers, each making significant contributions on their respective ends of the field and earning well-deserved recognition among the conference's best.
