Men's Soccer ties University of Charleston in Double Overtime

The Lakers tied University of Charleston, 0-0 on Sunday.
Box Score CHARLESTON, W.V. – The Mercyhurst men's soccer team tied University of Charleston, 0-0 on Sunday.  The Lakers move to 6-4-1 in the season after a double overtime match. 
 
Senior Alex Manea led the Lakers offense with four shots.  Senior Austin Solomon, Sophomore Fernando Martinez, and freshman Sten Marcson all took two shots apiece but could not find the back of the net. 
 
The Mercyhurst Lakers led the shots on goal, 13 to 11 against the Golden Eagles.  They also dominated in corners 10 to five.
 
Senior Diego Gustin made four saves in 110:00 for Mercyhurst.  Sean Teepen made eight saves for the Golden Eagles in the entire 110:00. 
 
The Lakers travel to Urbana University in Urbana, Ohio on Saturday, October 13.  The match is set for 3 p.m.
