ERIE, Pa.- The Mercyhurst men's water polo team won 13-11 at Penn State Behrend Sunday afternoon.
Brett Luehmann led the Lakers with four goals, while
Danilo Svorcan added two scores.
Behrend jumped out to a 3-2 lead after one quarter, but Hurst took control with six-second period goals. The Lakers outscored the Lions 5-3 in the third before Behrend scored four late goals to create the final margin.
Luehmann posted three goals in the second frame, while Svorcan did his work in the third quarter.
Matt Cote recorded eight saves in net and
Brandon Yasses made seven saves.
Mercyhurst is now 5-0 after winning all four of its contests this weekend. The Lakers travel to Annapolis, Maryland, this coming weekend for more matches.
