PITTSBURGH, Pa. -- The Mercyhurst College men's tennis team had a rough outing against eighth-ranked Carnegie Mellon, falling to the Tartans, 8-1.
The loss drops the Lakers' overall record to 4-10, having now dropped four of their last seven matches.
Keith Whittingham provided Mercyhurst's lone win from the competition, winning his No. 1 singles match (3-6, 7-5,11-9).
The Lakers will conclude their road trip on Mar. 22 when they play against Grove City College.
