MILLERSVILLE, Pa. – The Mercyhurst College men's soccer team lost its fourth game of the season today, Oct.15 to Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference opponent Millersville University. The Marauders scored two second half goals to push past the Lakers.
The loss gives the Lakers an overall record of 10-4-0 this season while dropping them to 4-3-0 in the PSAC. Millersville remains atop the PSAC, adding another win to its 5-1-0 conference record. The Marauders are 7-4-1 overall this season.
Millersville started the scoring at the 32:09 minute mark when Matt Kadoch beat junior
Diego Gustin in a one-on-one opportunity.
The Lakers would pressure the Millersville defense, but they couldn't find the equalizer before the half. At the midway point, the Lakers held a slight advantage in shots ,10-8, while the Marauders took six corners compared to the Lakers' three.

Austin Solomon provided the Lakers with a spark when he found a loose ball and deposited it in the net for his fifth goal of the season.
The score would not remain 1-1 for long, however, as Aaron Roland of Millersville broke the tie just six minutes after the Lakers found the equalizer. Roland's goal came off a rebound that he put back for the netter.
Kadoch of Millersville would add insurance for the Marauders when he received a pass from Roland, then broke away from the Laker defense, tallying his second goal of the game. The goal made the score 3-1 in favor of Millersville.
With little time on the clock the Lakers could not mount a comeback as they were held to just six shots in the second half while taking zero corners in the final 45 minutes.
The Lakers next match will take place at Sparkill, N.Y. when they face off against St. Thomas Aquinas. The game is scheduled for Oct. 19 at 3:30 p.m.
