CAMBRIDGE, Mass.- The Mercyhurst men's water polo team lost to Brown, 12-6, Saturday night. The game was hosted in Blodgett Pool at Harvard University.

Brown took a 3-1 edge after one quarter before Hurst answered. The Lakers outscored the Bears 4-2 in the second frame to tie the contest at 5. Brown took control in the third period, going ahead 9-6 and then adding three more goals in the final quarter.

Brett Luehmann scored three goals to lead the Lakers' attack. James Owen added two scores and Alex Strong scored a goal. Matt Cote posted eight saves in net.

The Lakers return to the pool tomorrow, as they take on Harvard at 10 a.m. and then MIT at 1 p.m.
