ERIE, Pa. – The fifth-ranked Mercyhurst College women's lacrosse team dismantled East Stroudsburg, 20-9, in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference crossover contest Saturday afternoon at Tullio Field.

Ally Keirn combined for 16 of the Lakers' 30 points in the victory. Masterton led the offense with four goals and two assists, while Jennings tallied four goals as well to go along with a helper. Keirn scored twice and assisted on three others.

Mercyhurst (11-1) battled with the Warriors during the early portion of the first half before reeling off nine straight goals to blow open the game and take an 11-3 advantage into halftime.
East Stroudsburg got on the scoreboard twice within the first seven minutes, beginning with Michelle Mangiaruga's first of three goals at the 29:03 mark. Following a pair from Jennings that gave the Lakers a 2-1 lead, Molly O'Hara found the back of the net to make it a 2-2 game with 23:49 remaining.
ESU would be held scoreless for the next 23 minutes and 48 seconds as the Lakers ran the table from that point, scoring nine straight goals while senior
Maeve McGoff turned aside seven Warrior shots. McGoff would finish the game with 11 stops, just one shy of her season-high set against Lock Haven Apr. 3, 2010.
Mangiaruga broke up the Laker run with one second remaining, scoring on an unassisted play just nine seconds after Masterton added her second of the game for the Lakers.
MC coasted to its 11th win of the season in the second half, outscoring the Warriors 9-6 and holding a 10-goal cushion for nearly 20 minutes of the frame.
Mercyhurst outshot the Warriors 29-26 and converted 2-for-5 on free-position attempts. ESU held advantages of 17-16 in ground balls and 20-10 in draw controls.
The Lakers return to action on Monday, Apr. 12, when they face PSAC West foe Gannon in a 4 p.m. contest at Tullio Field.
