Columbus, Ohio—The Mercyhurst men's tennis team lost a close battle to Ohio Dominican, 5-4. Their over-all season record fell to 0-6. 

Highlight the Lakers play against Ohio Dominican were Keith Whittingham, Omar Ammouni and Jorn Van der Veer. Whittingham, Ammouni and Van der Veer were all able to fight back from their first set loses to each win their second sets, as well at the super breaker. The Lakers doubles team of Whittingham/Van der Veer defeated Claude Badowski and Joseph Klank in a solid, 8-4 match. 

The Lakers will continue play as the top players compete in the PSAC Individual Championships at Shippensburg University this weekend. Junior, Keith Whittingham is the tournament's No. 1 seed in both singles and doubles, with sophomore partner, Jorn Van der Veer who is also entered in singles. Rounding out the field for the Lakers is the team's No. 2 player, Omar Ammouni.
