Erie, Pa. – The Mercyhurst College women's water polo team extended its winning streak to three games with a pair of victories over CWPA foes Saturday. The Lakers defeated Grove City by a score of 11-1 in the morning game before posting a shutout over Chatham, 10-0, in the afternoon contest. With the victories, Mercyhurst improves its record to 4-13 overall and 3-1 in conference play.

Alyssa Katerberg led the offense with three scores. Freshmen
Kimberly Goodhart and
Laura Perez and sophomore
Rachel Griepsma tallied two apiece while sophomores
Chrissy Becks and
Molly Keleshian added single scores. Freshman
Hope Rozelle stopped 12 of 13 shots and held the Wolverines scoreless through 56:30.
Mercyhurst saw more of the team get involved in the game against Chatham. Keleshian handled most of the scoring duties, netting three goals for her first collegiate hat-trick. Beck, Katerberg, Clemente, Griepsma, Goodhart, junior

Cathi Korenich recorded the shutout with 15 saves.
The Lakers return to action on Sunday, March 29, when cross-town rival Penn State Behrend visits the Mercyhurst Aquatic Center for a 9 a.m. contest.
