Mercyhurst University Athletics

2021-22: Appeared in 38 games, led the team with 28 points on 16 assists and 12 goals. He added two power play goals and 24 blocks. He had multi-point games on six different occasions throughout the season.

2020-21: Played 16 games and posted 12 points on seven points and five assists ... Scored a team-best four power play goals ... AHA All-Rookie Selection ... Scored his first career hat trick on Jan. 9, 2021 against Air Force at the Mercyhurst Ice Center.

Prior to Mercyhurst: Played 36 games in the USHL between the Sioux Falls Stampede and the Sioux City Musketeers. He tallied eight goals and three helpers for 11 points. 

Personal: Son of Lynn and Terry Heidemann ... One sibling Sam ... From an athletic family his uncle Glenn Derby played football at the Uiversity of Wisconsin and professionally for the New Orleans Saints, uncle John Derby played football at the University of Iowa as did his cousin Zach Derby. His cousin AJ Derby played as the University of Arkansas and the Miami Dolphins ... Majoring in Sports Management.
