2022-23: Played 36 and started 17 of the games for the Lakers. Scored three goals and had 11 assists. Townend had 54 shots on target and had a total of 33 blocks this season.

2021-22: Was one of two players to appear in all 39 games. Led all Laker defenseman with seven goals and 16 points. He recorded four power play goals and two game-winning goals to go along with a team leading 62 blocks. Had four multi-point games.
