Men's Lacrosse to Meet the Sharks Saturday

The Lakers will be back in the big apple this weekend - this time in Brooklyn to face the LIU Sharks.

Previously from the Lakers
The Lakers most recently met Wagner at the Seahawks home turf Saturday where they fell in a tight overtime contest 6-7.

Braeden Mastine led the Lakers in goals with two. Mastine also picked up six ground balls and caused one turnover.

Darrin Santos, Colin Tardif, Keenan De Wit, and DJ Neer also each notched a goal for the Lakers.

Ryan  Mahoney, Chase Petschke, and Mason Blakeman each dished an assist for the Lakers.

Brenton Paladino and Drew Pagano led the team in ground balls over the weekend with seven each. Paladino also led the team in caused turnovers with five.

Boden Clark led the team in faceoffs winning 8 of 14 taken.

Tyler Moritzen continued to stand tall in goal for the Lakers making 10 saves on 17 shots on net.

The Watchlist
Tardif leads the Lakers in goals with 18 and points with 23. Not far behind him are Petschke and Mahoney who each have 21 points. Petschke leads the team in assists with 14.

Pagano leads the team in ground balls with 36 this season.

Paladino leads the team in caused turnovers with 20 and is second in ground balls scooping up 32 so far this season.

Griffin Stevens continues to lead the Lakers in faceoffs taking 130 so far this season. Lincoln Norfolk leads the team in face off percentage winning 55.4% of the 56 he's taken this season.

Moritzen has started every game for the Lakers between the pipes making 110 saves so far this season and garnering a 43.1% save percentage.

  • The Sharks are 8-1 overall this season and 3-0 in conference play.
  • Their only loss has come at Rutgers where they fell 5-13.
  • Ben McIsaac leads the Sharks in goals with 24 and points with 32.
  • Cameron Connolly and Aidan Zuhoski lead the team in assists with ten each.
  • Shaun Hill takes the ground ball category with 51 on the season. He also takes the face off field winning 103-171 and garnering a 60.2% face off percentage.
  • Kyle Cochran leads the Sharks in caused turnovers with 12.
  • Tyler Gresh has made 70 saves, has a 53.8% save percentage, and only allows 7.73 goals per game as the Shark netminder.
