BRIDGEWATER, N.J. — Mercyhurst was picked to finish fourth in the NEC women's lacrosse preseason poll, the league office announced Thursday.

Head coach Lindsay Weaver, entering her 3rd season leading the program, guides Mercyhurst into its first full season as an NEC member. The Lakers made waves last year in their first Division I season, ending the season 6-9 overall and 6-3 in the NEC. They ended fourth in the conference, but were ineligible for the NEC tournament due to their transition period.

Ringing in the season with some new faces, the Lakers are welcoming 11 incoming freshmen.

Mercyhurst opens their 2026 campaign at Xavier February 8.
