Annapolis, Md. – The Mercyhurst Men's water polo team continued their conference play when they faced the Navy and George Washington. They lost both games 21-8 and and 18-10.

Game One

Mercyhurst opened up their scoring thanks to
Caden Stover followed by another goal by
Asher Jones.

In the second quarter, Alex Glyde contributed four saves to keep the deficit at seven.
Ben Gavran contributed the only goal of the quarter for Mercyhurst.
Â
Stover added two more goals coming out of halftime, giving him a hat trick on the day. Glyde obtained four more saves while in the net.

In the fourth quarter, the Lakers scored three more goals, coming from Jones, Aiden Botterill and
Declan Puacz.

In the first quarter,
Asher Jones was on an offensive tear as he scored a hat-trick in the first period.

In the second quarter, Jones continued to be an offensive threat as he tallied two more goals.
Ben Gavran contributed a goal as well.

In the third quarter,
Aidan Ivory came up with a goal for the Lakers.
Asher Jones continued to contribute to the offense with a goal.

In the fourth quarter, Jones added another goal, totaling seven goals on the day.
Caden Stover contributed a goal and
Luke Larson scored two.

The Lakers will return to Erie on Sept. 28 to take on Gannon at 10:30 a.m.
