Bridgewater, NJ - The Northeast Conference (NEC) has announced its 2024-25 Winter Scholar-Athlete honorees, as well as selections for the Academic Honor Roll and Commissioner's Honor Roll. Mercyhurst University made a strong impression in its inaugural Division I season, with basketball standouts Aidan Reichert and Bailey Kuhns earning top academic and athletic recognition.

Mercyhurst Basketball swept the board with two honorees; Senior forward, Aidan Reichert bringing home the Scholar-Athlete award for Men's Basketball and Junior forward, Bailey Kuhns being named Co-Scholar-Athlete for Women's Basketball. 

The NEC power couple has done it again, already being named NEC All-Conference honorees earlier this season after a successful inaugural Division One season for the pair. Reichert averaged 13.8 PPG (7th Best in NEC) while also finishing top ten in both rebounding (5.2rpg) and FG percentage (48.5%). His significant other, Kuhns dominated the paint in the NEC finishing 2nd in scoring, averaging 19.9 PPG and rounded out her season with top ten finishes in rebounding (5.1rpg), FG percentage (48.9%), and FT percentage (71.6%). 

In addition to their on-court success, both Reichert and Kuhns were named to the NEC Academic Honor Roll and the Commissioner's Honor Roll after maintaining a perfect 4.0 GPA throughout the academic year.

The NEC also announced its 2024–25 Winter Commissioner's Honor Roll, which recognizes student-athletes who earned a GPA of 3.75 or higher. Mercyhurst had 14 student-athletes named to the commissioner's honor roll:
