Bridgewater, NJ - The Northeast Conference (NEC) has announced the Scholar-Athletes of the Year for the 2024-25 season, Eliza Reynolds was named a female scholar-athlete after maintaining a perfect 4.0 GPA on the year, Aidan Reichert was named a male scholar-athlete for also maintaining a perfect 4.0 GPA.
Reynolds was recently named a Northeast Conference Co-Scholar-Athlete for the spring semester and was also honored as Mercyhurst's Female Scholar-Athlete of the Year—an institutional award recognizing a female student-athlete who excels academically. She was also named to the NEC All-Conference Second Team at the conclusion of the season for her displays on the field, including surpassing 100 RBIs as a Laker. Reynolds graduated Mercyhurst this Spring with a degree in Sports Medicine and a concentration in Pre-Occupational Therapy. She will be attending Slippery Rock entering their Doctor of Occupational Therapy program.
Reichert was also recently named a Northeast Conference Scholar-Athlete for the winter semester after maintaining a perfect 4.0 GPA. As well as being named to the NEC All-Conference Second Team after an impressive inaugural season where he finished in the top ten in scoring, rebounding, and field goal percentage. Aidan recently graduated from Mercyhurst with a degree in Intelligence Studies and a minor in Criminal Justice, while also completing his Master's in Organizational Leadership. He now plans to continue his basketball career overseas.
